As Director of Educational Outreach, Dr. Mack's primary responsibilities are to foster collaborative relationships between the university, surrounding schools, public agencies, and the community.
He has served in this capacity since 2006 and has successfully facilitated multiple professional development, college-student engagements, and K-12 initiatives that support the college’s mission.
Collaborators have included the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, local schools districts, and numerous departments on the campus of UNC Charlotte. To implement these activities, Dr. Mack has successfully built relationships conducive to programmatic goals and secured resources necessary to meet the College of Education’s objectives.
Over the past 12 years, he has collaborated with faculty to host numerous professional development experiences and courses for undergraduate and graduate-level students, as for example the Multicultural Play Therapy Center Conference.
Dr. Mack's role as a member of the Diversity Committee for the Cato College of Education, and former chair of the UNC Charlotte African and African-American Faculty/Staff Caucus have afforded him unique opportunities to collaborate with a broad constituency to fulfill the college's and university's mission of service to the community.
